Paris is always a great place to visit, and one of the best off-season events every February is Europe’s most respected and stylish classic car show, Retromobile, which runs for a full ten days at the Parc des Espositions.
This year’s event featured 100 years of racing history and featured a number of stunning historic racecar displays (see this month’s Photo Gallery on pg. 36). In addition to a wide variety of Ferraris, Mercedes, BMWs and French-built racecars, the Alfa Romeo Club de France convinced the Alfa Romeo Museum to let loose several sensational cars, including a Tipo159 and the prewar 512 rear-engine Grand Prix machine which was never raced.
