The 59th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, scheduled for Sunday Aug. 16, 2009, will feature the fabled marques of Bentley and Bugatti, while also celebrating the 100th anniversaries of both Audi and Morgan, and highlighting the designs of Ugo Zagato.
The Concours will be preceded by a string of complementary events leading up to it, including the Pebble Beach Motoring Classic, Aug. 3-12; the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance presented by Rolex on Aug. 13; the Pebble Beach RetroAuto, Aug. 14-16; and the Pebble Beach Auction presented by Gooding & Company, Aug. 15-16.
First held in 1950, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance (www.pebblebeachconcours.net) has since hosted some of the world’s most beautiful and rare automobiles on the famed 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links, where connoisseurs of art and style flock to see these mechanical masterpieces. Charitable donations raised by the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance now total more than $11 million. It is an event not to be missed.
