Celebrating its 20th year, the Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance, to be held September 16, will feature classic French coachwork with the theme “French Curves.” The 2012 marque will be Delahaye, the French automobile company that manufactured some of the most luxurious and elegant automobiles from the classic era. The Exhibition Committee will also highlight the great French coachbuilders, or carrossiers, that designed gorgeous automobiles that were famous for their graceful, and sometimes flamboyant designs, highlighting automobiles from France’s most famous designers such as Chapron, Pourtout, Figoni et Falaschi, Franay, and Letourneur et Marchand.
Held at the Trump National Golf Club, overlooking the Pacific ocean, the Palos Verdes Concours enjoys one of the most elegant and scenic concours grounds, not unlike that of the famed Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, held the month before.
