Uwe Meissner’s Modena Motorsport will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, and to honor the occasion, he will be opening up his exclusive Nürburgring Track Days event to all Ferrari owners.
For the past ten years, Modena Motorsport’s Track Days have become a much sought-after invitational event featuring copious track time at famous tracks such as Spa and the Nürburgring as well as drawing many legendary drivers such as Jacky Ickx. This year’s event is not only being opened up to all interested owners, but it has also been expanded to include a concours and rally through the surrounding countryside.
The event will begin on Wednesday, July 23, with 2 days of track activities on the Nürburgring’s F1 course. All competition Ferraris and pre-1973 road cars are invited to participate, free of charge. Later model Ferraris and Maseratis, as well as other significant racing machinery, may also participate for a fee ranging between $250-500.
During Thursday’s track events, there will also be a concours d’elegance held in the Nürburgring paddock, with prizes for a variety of categories being presented by 6-time Le Mans winner, Jacky Ickx.
Finally, the Track Days event will conclude on Friday the 25th with an “Adventure Tour” rally through the scenic Eifel region of Germany. This rally will cover 112 miles of quiet back roads surrounding the Nürburgring and will include lunch, wine tasting and a tour of the von Trips museum at the Castle Hemmersbach.
