Hemi-powered Mopar machinery will highlight Mecum’s 2016 Kissimmee Auction, set for January 15-24 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida. Two Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertibles and one Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T Convertible are the featured cars in a field of 31 Hemi-powered vehicles set to cross the auction’s block.
Leading the way is a 1970 Hemi Cuda Convertible (above) finished in Lemon Twist paint and a code-E74 Hemi engine. Only 14 of these were built that model year, and just five came with the A833 four-speed, as this car did.
Next is a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible that is one of just five built that year with automatic transmissions. The clean Sno-White car has a black top and interior, as well as a black N96 Shaker hood scoop atop the 426/425 HP Hemi.
Also up for sale is a 1970 Challenger R/T Convertible with Sublime Green paint. Of 1,070 new R/T convertibles sold in 1970, only nine carried Hemi engines, and only four of those were automatics, of which this is one.
Among the other Hemis on offer are a 1969 Dodge Hemi Coronet R/T Convertible, a 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda and a 1969 Dodge Hemi Daytona, with the entire Kissimmee selection available for viewing at www.Mecum.com
