I saw Art’s letter in your August issue about the Sunbeam Tiger. In 1964, I did a shoot for the California Sports Car magazine, the continuation magazine that Art and Dick Sherwin started in the ’50s. We were at the Roots Group showroom on Pico Blvd doing the monthly Miss California Sports Car page. I probably knew it at the time, but did not remember that the car we used was the Miles car. A few years ago a Tiger expert, Bill Martin, saw some of the pictures from that shoot and asked me if I knew that the car was Miles’. I didn’t, but soon printed the series and it has become some of my best sellers with the Tiger people. The last I heard, the car was in Denver, where I sold the series of pictures to the owner.
