Following in the tire marks of the USRRC Tribute dinner at the NHRA Wally Parks Museum, Dave Wolin’s non-profit Racing History Project has announced that a similar intimate “Tribute to the Can-Am – 50th Anniversary” dinner will take place Saturday, August 20, during the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
As with the USRRC dinner, the Can-Am Tribute at the Monterey Plaza Hotel on Cannery Row will gather many of those who lived through the brief but brilliant Can-Am era and made it so memorable. These participants will once again share stories from those good old days, and several films and a slide presentation are also on the docket. As with the USRRC Dinner, proceeds from the event will benefit two ailing racers, Tony Adamowicz and Charlie Hayes. For complete information please visit www.tributetothecanam.com
