Considered brash and outspoken by some, few can refute his impressive list of racing accomplishments. These include victories and championships as a driver in the ’50s, more championships and success leading Triumph’s U.S. competition department in the ’60s, and three GTP championships in the ’80s, as head of Nissan’s NPTI GTP team. Casey Annis sat down with Kastner at his home in San Diego, California to find out if even half the stories about his exploits were true.
