The Historic Motor Sports Association (HMSA) has announced that the National Automobile Museum (The Harrah Collection) has been chosen to be the official non-profit organization to partner with the Reno Historic Races held at Reno Fernley Raceway in Reno, Nevada, April 22–23, 2006.
“The National Automobile Museum is Mecca,” said Cris Vandagriff, president of HMSA. “Having gone to the museum when I was a kid, it’s the center of restoration and preservation for the world’s most exquisite automobiles and continues today.”
“HMSA and the National Automobile Museum are a natural fit in partnering together. We both have a passion for cars, history, and people behind the cars,” said Judy Hudson, director of marketing for HMSA. “HMSA’s Reno Historic Races are similar to the exhibits at the museum, they are history in motion. We are very excited to help create more awareness of this national treasure and raise donations through the event.”
“Everyone associated with the museum is honored and extremely grateful to HMSA for this tremendous partnership opportunity,” said Jackie Frady, executive director of the National Automobile Museum (The Harrah Collection). “Both organizations celebrate the history of the automobile, from notable racecars participating in HMSA events to rare marques exhibited in the museum.”
