Vintage racecar driver Howard Katz has been named the third recipient of The Gorsline Cup, honored during the Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Gorsline Cup is presented by Gorsline Company, the premier insurer of high-risk individuals, to the driver who best exhibits the qualities of sportsmanship on the track, integrity in car preparation and excellence in presentation in the paddock. The Cup was first presented by company principal John Gorsline in 2012, when George Robinson was selected, while last year’s trophy went to Toby Bean. Katz, of New York City, was chosen as this year’s recipient because, Gorsline said, “he exhibits the qualities of a fine gentleman, has high standards, integrity, honesty and demonstrates sportsmanship on the race track.”
