The Gooding and Company Amelia Island 2015 auction was held Friday, March 13th at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Florida, resulting in $26,967,150 in total sales and an 89% sell-through rate.

The top result at Gooding’s 2015 Amelia Island Concours auction went to the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 that sold for $3,300,000, followed by the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Series II Cabriolet that brought $2,090,000. Out of the 85 cars offered during the sale, seven sold for values in excess of $1 million.

Limited production sports and racing cars also performed extremely well, highlighting the widespread demand for modern collectibles that resonate with a new generation of collectors.”

Further notable results included the Cafe Mexicano 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RSR that sold for $1,237,500 and the 1996 Porsche 993 GT2 that made $973,500. Also featured was the 1932 Lincoln KB Dietrich Custom Stationary Coupe, one of only three extant, that changed hands for $836,000. The Amelia sale saw 13 new auction records set from marques including Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and more.
