During the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring on August 4, 1957, Ferrari driver Luigi Musso brakes for the South Curve. Although his efforts were ultimately overshadowed by the titanic battle among Fangio, Collins, and Hawthorn, Musso soldiered on to finish a very respectable 4th.
