The Concours d’Elegance of America has announced that the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost will be the featured marque for this year’s event. Introduced at the Olympia Motor Show this Rolls-Royce, later named Silver Ghost, would go on to be the longest-running single model next to the Model T Ford. It is considered by many the most famous luxury car in history. Today, the Silver Ghost remains one of the most desirable models among antique (pre -1930) cars. In 2012, the 1906 40/50hp Silver Ghost model known as “The Corgi” sold at auction for $7.1 million. The 39th Annual Concours d’Elegance of America will be held on Sunday, July 30, at the Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan. To see the entire featured list of vehicles visit concoursusa.org.
