• The Masterpiece Ltd.’s board of directors have elected Bob Budlow, Colin Comer and Paul Westphal as directors of the nonprofit organization effective January 1, 2018. The announcement was made by the group’s president, Mike O’Krongly. The Masterpiece Ltd. hosts the Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance, a judged exhibit of vintage and classic vehicles, and related activities. “These gentlemen have been key contributors to the success of the Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance over the past several years,” O’Krongly said. “We are pleased to have their expertise on our board.”

• On January 25, to the sound of cheers and applause in a packed ballroom at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Bonhams sold the rare, original condition, British-made, Australian speed record-setting, 1951 Vincent Black Lightning motorcycle for $929,000, making it the most valuable motorcycle ever sold at auction.
