Classic car fever swept over the Motor City on the weekend as record crowds attended RM’s Classic Car Auction of Michigan in Novi. A spring tradition for auto enthusiasts – this year’s event offered a highly diverse and increased line-up of motor cars, highlighted by the sale of two prominent Mid-Western Collections – the esteemed Michigan-based Bud Mick Collection, and the renowned Edwin Oberhaus Collection in Ohio.
Topping sales for the Michigan event was a rare 1934 Bugatti Type 57 Galibier Sedan, which was won with a final bid of $242,000; a stunning 1938 Packard Twelve Brunn Touring Cabriolet, which brought $187,000; and a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible, which sold for $154,000.
