The Bonhams Scottsdale 2013 Auction will be held January 17th at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, with more than 110 automobiles on offer at the 2nd annual Bonhams Arizona Auction Week event.
Headlining the 2013 Bonhams Arizona sale than 30 cars from Oldenburg Family Automobile Collection, including a 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV, 1968 Ferrari 330 GTS Spyder, 1967 Ferrari 365 GTC Prototype, 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Coupe, seven models from Jaguar, among others.
Additional important consignments for the January sale include the 1930 Bugatti Type 46 Faux Cabriolet with coachwork by Veth and Zoon, a fully restored 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupe, finished in strawberry with tan interior, 1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Cabriolet A, 1931 Minerva Model AL ‘Windswept’ Convertible Sedan, and a 1931 Cord L-29 Cabriolet, a 1957 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Class Winner offered from long-term ownership.
In 2012, Bonhams offered 68 cars, with 44 finding new owners, reflecting a 63.6% sales rate. The total sales volume was $5,967,559 and the average price per car sold was $135,626. Top sale went to the 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Cabriolet C at $667,000, followed by 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Transformal Phaeton that brought $524,000 and the 1947 Delahaye 135M DHC that sold for $474,500.
The Bonhams Scottsdale auction will be held Thursday, January 17th, 2013 at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. Admission to the Bonhams Arizona sale comes with purchase of a catalog for $75, which admits two people. Previews for the motorcars and automobilia will take place on Tuesday, January 15th from 12pm to 6pm and Wednesday, January 16th from 10:00am – 5:00pm. The automobilia sale begins at 10:30am on Thursday, January 17th with the motorcars to follow at 1:00pm.
