The Auctions America Fall Carlisle 2012 sale was held October 4–5 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, resulting in more than $2.5 million in sales and 57% of all lots sold.
Held as part of Carlisle Events’ Fall Carlisle Collector Car Weekend, the two-day Auctions America by RM sale presented approximately 300 automobiles joined by a selection of motorcycles and memorabilia before a packed house. Bidders hailed from seven countries and 29 states across the United States.
Top result at Auctions America Fall Carlisle 2012 went to a 1958 Chrysler 300D Convertible, one of less than 20 of its kind known to exist, which sold for $90,750. Also attracting significant interest was a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette, finished in Nassau Blue with a white and blue interior, which brought $81,400.
“We are very happy with the results from our Fall Carlisle sale and thrilled to have joined forces with the Carlisle Events team once again to deliver another memorable collector car weekend for enthusiasts,” says Donnie Gould, president Auctions America by RM. “Since hosting our first auction in Carlisle last year, the auction has continued to grow with bidder registrations up almost 25 percent. Significantly, we generated the same total dollar volume in sales this year as last year’s Fall Carlisle sale in just two days compared to three days in 2011. We look forward to further growing the sale in 2013.”

In addition, the sale lifted the gavel on a 1985 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe which sold for $11,000 to benefit the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting research and raising awareness of the deadly disease Amyloidosis. The successful bidder donated the car back after purchasing to provide opportunity to raise more money for this deserving cause at the Spring Carlisle auction in April 2013.
