Supercar Run at 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Supercar Run at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013For the first time in Goodwood Festival of Speed history, supercars will battle against the clock as part of the 2014 Michelin Supercar Run. Road-going supercars will do battle in a bid to reveal which manufacturer produces the fastest production machine.

With representation from many of the world’s manufacturers during the timed section on the Saturday afternoon of the event, an intense contest is guaranteed on the 1.16-mile hillclimb.

The Festival of Speed will feature the dynamic debut of Honda’s all-new NSX supercar prototype, which will feature a three-motor hybrid powertrain when it is launched in 2015. Other new models appearing include Volvo’s new V60 Polestar – already a winner in race trim in Australia in its debut season and the Jaguar XFR-S Sportsbrake.

As ever, the Moving Motor Show, held on Thursday, 26 June, will be a hotbed of manufacturer involvement with presences confirmed by: Audi, BMW, Citroen, Dacia, Ferrari, Ford, GKN, Honda, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Rolls Royce, SEAT, Skoda, Toyota and Volvo.
