1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham sold for $192,500

The Leake Auction Company Dallas 2013 sale was held November 22-24 at the Dallas Market Hall in Texas, resulting in $9.5 million in total sales and a 63% sell-through rate. The total from the three-day sale was up 29% from last year.
“We could not be happier with the results of this auction,” said Richard Sevenoaks, president of Leake Auction Company. “Our company has had an extremely successful 2013 and many factors contribute to this. We have upped the quality of cars we are consigning, made ourselves more visible in the market place and employ a very dedicated staff. We work hard and are deeply appreciative of our continued success.”
The top result at the 2013 Leake Dallas auction went to a 2006 Ford GT that sold for $217,800 with the buyer’s premium included. Sports and muscle cars dominated the highest sales, including a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham at $192,500; a 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 at $166,100; a 2005 Ferrari F430 Spider F1 at $137,500; a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda BO29 at $115,500; a 1969 Camaro at $112,200 and a 1969 Shelby GT500 at $107,800. In total, 584 vehicles crossed the two-lane auction block, with 368 finding new owners at the November sale.
Three of the cars crossing the auction block were sold for the American Fallen Soldiers Project, a charity founded by artist Phil Taylor and his wife Lisa. Phil paints portraits of soldiers who to do not return home from their tour of duty. The cars were generously donated by Evolution Custom Auto. Leake Auction Company donated the entry fees for the cars, sales commission and the buyer’s premium as well. Richard Rawlings of Gas Monkey Garage kicked in another $2,000 from the sale of one of his vehicles, bringing the final amount raised to $103,200. For 41 years Leake Auction Company has donated time, fees and expertise to help many charities raise funds. During this time in excess of $2.5 million dollars has been raised.
