Russo and Steele Scottsdale Auction 2011 – Preview

1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing Russo and Steele will hold its 11th annual Sports & Muscle in Scottsdale auction on January 19-23, 2011 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Russo and Steele aims to strongly rebound from last year’s weather-induced debacle, in part with their new Losberger main auction structure that will provide a more secure base for the sale. Manufactured in Germany, this new structure will afford an “all-encompassing environment” in which to hold all the event elements including the main auction block, vehicle staging, vendors, sponsors and amenities.
Russo and Steele will offer more than 650 cars over five days, including three collections at no reserve – Kevin Hand, Friedlander and Nickey Chicago. Auction highlights include the 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible, 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing and 1965 Shelby GT350R.
The auction will be held at Russo and Steele’s traditional site located at the intersection of the loop 101 freeway and North Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Arizona. General admission, $20; Bidder registration, $150; VIP guest, $75. Additional bidder’s guests, $50 each. For more information, visit www.russoandsteele.com.
