12th La Jolla Concours Results

The 12th Annual La Jolla Concours d’Elegance took place on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the Southern California enclave of the same name last weekend, crowning winners in some 18 classes and selecting the French Curves Class-winning 1936 Delahaye 135 Competition Disappearing Top Convertible (above) owned by Ken and Ann Smith as Best in Show.

Other major awards included: Most Outstanding Pre-War for the 1931 Chrysler Phaeton of Aaron and Valerie Weiss; Most Outstanding Post-War for the 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL owned by Bill and Linda Feldhorn; the Chairman’s Award presented to the 1954 Plymouth Explorer from the Petersen Automotive Museum; and the People’s Choice Award given to the 1939 Delahaye 165 Cabriolet from Peter and Merle Mullin and the Mullin Automotive Museum.
