On September 11–12, Britain’s Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) will celebrate its 70th anniversary with its Vintage and Historic Festival at Donington Park. This year’s event is entitled, “SeeRed” and will feature more than 50 years of racing Ferraris. In addition to demonstration runs from everything from Schumacher’s Championship-winning Ferrari to the famed Alfa Romeo “Bimotore”, the weekend will also host a full round of the Shell Ferrari Maserati Historic Challenge, as well as races for pre-war sports cars, pre-1961 F1, F2 and Tasman Series cars, an all-ERA race and a 3-Hour Enduro for 6-car teams of sports cars. Of particular interest to those travelling from overseas is the fact that the “SeeRed” event will be held the weekend after the Goodwood Revival, enabling enthusiasts and competitors to pack a lot of British historic racing into a one week period.
