The work of the internationally renowned Swiss automotive artist Fabrice Lachavanne will complete Vintage Racecar‘s NEC Classic Motor Show homage to some of the men and marques that have excelled on the various circuits of world motor racing.
A dedicated “Wall of Heroes” will show an amazing array of the Geneva-based Lachavanne’s work, including: the battle between Ferrari and Cobra at the famous 12 Hours of Sebring on March 21, 1964; Stirling Moss in Rob Walker’s Ferrari 250GTO and Jimmy Clark in the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato at the 1961 Goodwood Tourist Trophy (above); the “David and Goliath” epic 1938 Pau Grand Prix when René Dreyfus in the Delahaye 145 V12 beat the mighty Rudolf Caracciola in his Mercedes W154; and the master Tazio Nuvolari in the winning Auto Union Type D at the 1939 Yugoslav Grand Prix — the last Mercedes and Auto Union confrontation before the beginning of World War II.
