The noted French manufacturer Delahaye began manufacturing automobiles as early as 1896 and, despite two wars, continued through 1954, when the company was eventually closed. Across this almost 60-year time period, Delahaye produced a variety of vehicles from utilitarian passenger vehicles to industrial trucks and fire engines. However, it was during the period from 1920–1950 where Delahaye produced some of the most stunning custom-bodied automobiles and racecars of all time.
