Internaional Speedway Corporation’s California Speedway has announced that it has chosen HSR-West as the sanctioning body for its upcoming Historic Sports Car Festival to be held June 21-23.
The 3-day event will be the first spectator historic event to be held at the super-speedway and take place on the new 2.4-mile road course, which includes both a new infield section and portions of the banked oval.
Twelve races are planned including special races for historic NASCAR stock cars, early Can-Am, GTP/Group C, 2.0-liter Porsche Challenge, Vintage 2.5 B-Sedan/Trans-Am, 2.0-liter formula car Challenge, BMW 2002 Challenge, as well as HSR-West’s normal race groupings.
