This year sees a significant 50th anniversary, that of the MGB. More than half a million were made and many readers of this column will have had one in their lives. Jaguars, Aston Martins and Ferraris are rewards for having made it (or for having had the sense to choose the right parents), but for many of us an MG was a milestone.
If the E-Type was the Playmate of the Month, the MG was the girl you took home to meet your parents.
