In 1913, one of the ultimate tests of man and machine was the Pan-Pacific Road Race. A gruelling open road race from Los Angeles to Sacramento, California, the Pan-Pacific offered a whopping $50,000 to the winning car.
For 2000, this historic event will be recreated as a 3-day rally event both for veteran cars of the period and (in separate groups) vintage sports and touring cars. The Pan-Pacific Road Race Celebration will leave Los Angeles on May 24 and arrive in Visalia, California, for the two-day Visalia Motorsports Festival on May 26.
