H&H Classics, one of Europe’s largest specialist auctioneers of collector motor cars and motorcycles, will once again bring some motoring magic to the London Classic Car Show, scheduled for ExCel London on February 18-21. The H&H Classics stand will display a number of exciting cars, including a special 1961 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Competition Roadster, registration 9VPD, which is the very first of the E-Type competition cars.
Finished in Opalescent Dark Blue livery, 9VPD is expected to sell for between £700,000 and £900,000 at the H&H Classics Duxford sale on April 19-20. This is the venue where, last October, the company became only the fifth classic car auction house to sell a car for more than $10m.
H&H Classics will also be hosting the presentation of the “Spirit of La Sarthe” Trophy to racing driver David Clark on Friday February 19 at 5 p.m. The trophy is awarded each year to the highest-placed British team in the Le Mans 24-hour race.
