The debut Goodwood Members’ Meeting was staged March 29-30, 2014 at the 2.4-mile Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex, England. The Members’ Meeting was revived in 2014 for Members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club to continue the tradition of the 71 club motor sport events held at Goodwood from 1948-66.
Star names at the Goodwood Members’ Meeting 2014 including grand prix winner Jochen Mass, Le Mans 24 hours victors Emanuele Pirro and Jackie Oliver and current professionals Darren Turner and Andy Priaulx.In addition to races like the innovative Gerry Marshall Trophy that honoured the world of 1970s saloon cars, the weekend of dramatic motor racing at Goodwood also included demonstration runs of the awe-inspiring Group B machines, the flame-spitting Formula 1 cars of the turbo era and the long-tail Le Mans cars of the 1970s and ’80s.

Senior Photographer Tim Scott documented the 72nd Goodwood Members’ Meeting in 2014. OK, help me out here. What is the car in pictures 307, 308 & 364? Also, the car in 347 appears to be very similar.

The car in pictures 307, 308 and 364 is an H.W.M.- Jaguar built in Walton-on-Thames in the early 1950s. The car in 347 is the same make. About 12-15 H.W.M.s were made, the early ones being F2 single seaters with Alta engines.
Robin, thanks for the response. I know the photographers have time constraints limiting their ability to identify every car they photograph, and inevitably some unidentified car catches my eye and I think, “what the heck is that?”, especially at events outside of the states. YLSNED (you learn something new every day).
Now THAT’S good track photography! Cars fill the frame AND the horizons are all level. No addiction to fake tilted cars by tilting the camera.
