Well-known historic Super Vee driver and Monoposto Racing director Domenick J. Billera died on Friday, April 21, 2006 at his home, in Lower Saucon Township, PA, with his wife by his side. Billera fought a valiant battle against acute leukemia and persevered through a stem-cell bone-marrow transplant with great strength and courage. For the past 10 years, Billera raced in open-wheeled cars, where he was both a highly skilled driver and mechanic. In 1997, 1998, and 2000 Billera was the overall champion of the Monoposto Formula 70 series, Formula Super Vee. Billera is survived by his daughter, Elonda Billera, and by his wife, Anne Marie Crown.
