With the HMSA having brought Historic Can-Am cars back into the spotlight with its exhibition race at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach earlier this month, now the run-what-you-brung series will enjoy an afternoon on the Concours lawn.
The 39th annual Concours d’Elegance of America, scheduled for July 28-30, in Plymouth, Michigan, will salute the original Can-Am with a class for the high-horsepower machines at this year’s event.
Eligible cars will be those run under the series’ initial all-but-unlimited rules between 1966 and 1974, as was the case in Long Beach. Owners of such machines who may be interested in participating should visit the event web site at http://concoursusa.org, or contact the Concours organizers directly by calling (248) 643-8645 or by email to [email protected].
