Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014 – Photo Gallery

The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014 took place May 23-25 on the grounds of the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este and Villa Erba on Lake Como in Cernobbio, Italy. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Lake Como, the 2014 Villa d’Este Concours presented the chance to not only admire about 50 historic cars, but also take in the myriad of sights off the show field.

This year was the tenth Concorso d’Eleganza to be co-hosted by BMW Group Classic and the Villa d’Este luxury hotel. A glittering support programme headed “The Great Gatsby” saw the organisers harking back to the Roaring Twenties and the roots of the event’s “Days of Elegance”. 85 years ago a beauty contest for cars took place on the shores of Lake Como for the first time, and the 2014 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este bridged the past, the present and the future of vehicle aesthetics. The 1956 Maserati 450S owned by Albert Spiess won Best of Show by Judges, while Corrado Lopresto’s 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Spider Aprile was awarded Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este, the Best of Show by Public Referendum.
