As part of its annual time-warp journey through the past, this weekend’s Goodwood Revival will feature a 50th Anniversary Reunion of all six original Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupes as part of the Revival’s theme of “Front-Engine GT Racecars.” The Coupes were integral players in Shelby American’s successful efforts to wrest the 1965 FIA Manufacturers Championship from Ferrari, and since that year’s results from the 24 Hours of Le Mans (five), the 24 Hours of Daytona (four) and the 12 Hours of Sebring (three) don’t list all six of the sleek Pete Brock-designed coupes as running together, this may be the very first time all of them have been assembled in one place.
