All New AC Cobra GT Roadster

Britain’s oldest active vehicle manufacturer, AC Cars, has recently announced the first details and images of their brand-new and exclusive sports car, the AC Cobra GT roadster. It will be formally launched in the spring of 2023.

It has kept its practically legendary profile while also giving the 61-year-old model a new revolutionary design. AC Cars invested three years to develop the new AC Cobra GT roadster. With the goal of providing the most advanced Cobra ever, AC Cars is scheduled to launch their exclusive new sports car in 2023 in London, coinciding with the marque’s 122-year anniversary.

Initially developed to be a true grand tourer, it brings together speed, agility, and balance with comfort and practicality. Working together with the leading industry suppliers for its design and development, the new AC Cobra GT roadster delivers a new level of refinement. Its construction signaling the return of European production for the company’s vehicles.

The New AC Cobra GT Roadster

AC Cars partners Icona Design Group and Cecomp Spa in Italy worked together to develop the extruded aluminum space frame chassis specifically for the new AC Cobra GT roadster. The two-seater roadster will deliver performance, handling, and soundtrack that the Cobra brand has built their reputation on. It is powered by a V8 engine that delivers up to 654 bhp (663 PS) and 575 lb-ft (780 Nm) of torque. Clients have an option between a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic gearbox. Weighing less than 1500 kg, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 3.6 seconds.

Its all-new and innovative vehicle architecture and its hand-finished manufacturing process simply means that the AC Cobra GT roadster has set the standard in production detail and build quality. With a 2570 mm wheelbase, the new AC Cobra GT roadster is the largest AC Cobra created yet, but its exemplary torsional rigidity delivers both refinement and performance. Designed to be a daily driver, it is equipped with comfort features like air conditioning, sophisticated in-car entertainment, and electric windows. A removable hardtop can also be acquired as an option.
