Italian aftermarket tuning wizard Carlo Abarth turned his attention to the diminutive Fiat 600 sedan, in the 1960s and progressively transformed it into a Giant Killer in European Touring Car racing. By increasing the tiny 600-cc Fiat engine to ultimately 1000-cc, Abarth created the 1000TC (Turismo Competizione), which notched up numerous championships in Group 2 racing.
