The third annual Ephraim Vintage Festival will take place in the scenic Door County Wisconsin village of the same name on September 8-10, featuring a driving tour and welcoming party on the Friday, the Hagerty Hillclimb and a dinner dance on Saturday and the Arbor Crown Concours d’Elegance on Sunday.
The events will be held in the heart of Ephraim’s Historic District, home to charming shops, boutiques, restaurants and a wide variety of hotels and Bed & Breakfast inns, most within walking distance to all weekend events.
Friday’s Hillside Inn of Door County Tour heads out from the inn that morning, returning in time for the Welcoming Party under the Grand Tent adjacent to the Hillside Inn at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Hagerty Hillclimb will commence at 11 a.m., with six Parade Laps for all participants and their registered guests, after which timed runs will begin and continue until about 3 p.m.
At 4 p.m., a technical presentation entitled “Secrets of Automobile Restoration” will convene at the Hillside Inn, sponsored by Cooper Technica of Bristol, Wisconsin.
The Dinner Dance will commence at 6:30 p.m. for all Tour and Hillclimb participants, event marshals and judges, under the Grand Tent adjacent to the Hillside Inn and overlooking the magnificent Eagle Harbor. Cocktail Attire is required, with 1945 apparel encouraged. Dinner will be followed by dessert and dancing to music from a traditional 16-piece swing band.
Sunday’s Concours d’Elegance will begin at 11 a.m., and is once again sponsored by Arbor Crowne Properties. As of our press time, some 24 of the 60 approved entries for Pre-War European, American Classics, and significant post-war Sports Cars through 1970 have been accepted. Tour participants will be accepted through September 1. Anyone wishing to participate should complete their paperwork and mail their entry early.
