Goodwood has announced provisional dates for its two iconic historic weekends, the Festival of Speed and the Revival Meeting, as well as the theme for the Festival, which will be “Flat-out and Fearless: Racing on the Edge.” The 23rd annual Festival of Speed is scheduled to take place June 25-28, while the 18th Goodwood Revival is set for September 11-13.
“Flat-out and Fearless” will recognize the spectacular memories created by our racing heroes over the years, moments such as the fierce battle between Gilles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux for 2nd place (!) in the 1979 French Grand Prix at Dijon, or Juan Manuel Fangio’s decision to race all-out for the only time in his life in order to catch and overtake the leading Ferraris of Mike Hawthorn and Peter Collins to win the 1957 German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring.
