Barrett-Jackson helped raise $1,050,000 for charities supporting U.S. veterans and their families, youth programs and medical research during its 14th Annual Palm Beach Auction. To date, Barrett-Jackson has helped raise more than $89 million for charity.

Among the cars crossing the block in Palm Beach were a couple from General Motors that continued the company’s tradition of selling VIN #001 vehicles for charity. The 2017 Chevrolet Corvette VIN #001 Grand Sport (above, photo courtesy of Barrett-Jackson) sold for $170,000 to benefit the Karmanos Cancer Institute, while the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro VIN #001 50th Anniversary Edition hammered at $150,000 in support of The United Way of Southern Michigan.
Two other cars of note were a Dodge Viper Hennessey Venom 500 that brought in $150,000 for the Lone Survivor Foundation; and a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Commando Tactical Edition that hammered in at $225,000 for the Patriot Foundation.
Other vehicles crossing the block to support specific charities included:
1974 BMW 2002 donated by Clarion Builds to support The Barrett-Jackson Cancer Research Fund at TGen in Memory of Russ and Brian Jackson ($125,000); a 2014 Ford Raptor Hennessey Velociraptor 600 donated by Shell to benefit the Paralyzed Veterans of America ($100,000); a 2004 Hummer H1 Custom HMCS MP to benefit Camp Southern Ground ($100,000); and a 1985 Ford Bronco II to benefit the Boy Scouts of America ($30,000).
