This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, to be held July 6-8 in Chichester, England, will feature over 90 years of Indianapolis 500 history. Among the Indy champions planning on taking part in the prestigious hillclimb are Bobby Unser, Danny Sullivan and Bobby Rahal.
“This is going to be a great year for fans of American racing,” said Lord Charles March, organizer of the annual event, “and at Goodwood we aim to have the very best cars and drivers to represent the great legends of Indy. To have Unser, Rahal and Sullivan all here together is fantastic for the fans, and we have some surprises still in the pipeline.”
Some of the legendary cars which will be flown over for this year’s event include: Ray Harroun’s 1911-winning Marmon Wasp, Mark Donohue’s 1971 McLaren M16, Mario Andretti’s 1965 Brawner-Hawk and Al Unser Sr.’s 1967 Retzhoff Chemical Lola-Ford.
