A crowd of more than 14,000 turned out for the 22nd Annual Keels & Wheels Concours d’Elegance in Seabrooke, Texas, last weekend to view more than 300 select classic cars and vintage wooden boats.
Featured vehicles for the event included the automobile marques of the Stutz Motor Company, American ’50s classics and Hot Rods. The event also welcomed Utilities as the boat classic marque. The diversity of entries allowed visitors to view unique cars and boats such as a 1938 Hispano-Suiza H6B Dubonnet Xenia, a 1934 Packard Coach-Built and a Studebaker concept car, as well as large and small classic boats including a stunning Italian Riva.
On the car side, the event’s Best of Show – European trophy went to Californians Peter and Merle Mullin for their 1938 Hispano-Suiza Xenia-Dubonnet and Falaschi Teardrop, while Tennessean Jerry Bowen claimed the Best of Show – American award for his 1913 American Underslung Tourest. The full list of automotive winners follows.
This event is made possible by the support from: Lincoln Motor Company; Bay Area Regional Medical Center; City of Seabrook; BayWay Lincoln Auto Group; and numerous other sponsors.
All proceeds from the 2017 event benefited the Boys and Girls Harbor, whose mission is to provide a home and safe environment for abandoned and abused children, and healthy, comprehensive care for children and families in crisis. For complete information please visit www.keels-wheels.com
