The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering have announced a one-year shift away from their standard third weekend of August dates to accommodate the return of the U.S. Amateur Golf Championship to the links at Pebble Beach. The tournament traditionally wraps on the third Sunday in August, and next year will be its first return to Pebble Beach since 1999.
“Pebble Beach Resorts began with a scenic drive, and golf soon followed—and it now hosts top-ranking events for people with many diverse passions,” said Concours Chairman Sandra Button. “Coordinating calendars can be complicated, but we want to make certain that everyone has a chance to enjoy the beautiful place that is Pebble Beach.”
Officials from the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering have confirmed that their events will also move,
“We coordinate closely with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to ensure everyone who visits the beautiful Monterey Peninsula has the experience one expects of a world-class host city,” said Gillian Campbell, CEO and general manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. “We want to ensure our participants and guests know the dates well in advance in order to plan their visit accordingly.”
The Concours, Reunion and Gathering will return to the third weekend in August in future years, as the events will be held on August 16-18 in 2019, August 13-16 in 2020 and August 12-15 in 2021.
