On August 15–28, 2013, historic rallying will return to the Caribbean island of Barbados for the 12th annual Barbados Historic Rally Carnival. Competitors, their families and friends will enjoy 14 days in the sun, with top-level motor sport competition over two weekends: a RallySprint over the first weekend and an asphalt Historic Rally over some of the most challenging roads the Caribbean island has to offer on the second weekend.
There are four classes of eligible cars: “Historic” for modified two-wheel drive production cars marketed before December 31, 1967; “Post-Historic” for modified two-wheel drive production cars marketed between January 1, 1968 and December 31, 1974; and the “Classic” category for modified two-wheel drive production cars marketed between January 1, 1975 and December 31, 1981. The final vehicle category is “Group B”, which caters to cars homologated into Group B by the FIA. The $8,800 (£5,500) entry fee includes return shipping of one rally car to and from Barbados, entry to the Historic Rally and the RallySprint, two return flights, one double hotel room for 12 nights and free entry to all Carnival social events.
