The seventh historic revival of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo classic car race took place March 13-15th in Northern Italy.
Open to classic cars built between 1906 and 1973, the Coppa Milano-Sanremo takes competitors on mountainous terrain and country roads passing through the villages and fields of the Pavese region, the hills and valleys of the Gavi, until finally reaching the summit of the Appennines above Genoa to look down on the expanse of coast meeting the Mediterranean Sea. The final leg ends in Sanremo, via the Faiallo Pass, with a stop for lunch in the eighteenth century Villa Faraggiana in Albissola Marina. In keeping with tradition, the finish line is in Piazza Colombo, Sanremo. Over 130 classic cars entertained the crowds that turned out along the route to applaud as the cars drove past.
