The 1966 Le Mans 24-Hour winning Ford GT40 joins the list of entrants at the 2014 Hampton Court Palace Concours of Elegance, to be held 5-7 September at the Hampton Court Palace on the Thames in Greater London. The one thing that sets, and has always set, the Concours of Elegance apart is the quality of the cars the events attracts. Consistently over the first two years, collectors have brought their treasures from the four corners of the earth. A long list of historic cars that have rarely, if ever, been seen in England are on show for all to see from just £25.

Entered by Shelby American and finished in a striking black with silver stripes, the 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II (P/1046) that will grace the show field at Hampton Court Palace was driven to victory at Le Mans by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon. Senior Photographer Tim Scott’s dramatic studio shots, here being seen for the first time, turn a car that is already a myth into the stuff of legends.

The 2014 Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace will be open to the public on Saturday 6 September and Sunday 7 September, with adult entry tickets available to purchase from £25 per person per day. For additional information or to purchase tickets, visit ConcoursofElegance.com.
