The story of a small British car manufacturer that first enjoyed success with a three-wheeled delivery vehicle in 1907 that stretched on to the fire-breathing, record-breaking Shelby Daytona Coupe (above) in 1964 will be told this spring at Philadelphia’s Simeone Automotive Foundation Museum. The museum is proud to welcome the exhibit “Best of Britain an AC Cars Retrospective,” that opens February 18 and runs through March 12, 2017, in support of the Foundation’s Teen Driver Awareness Program.
The three-week exhibit will begin on Saturday, February 18 with an opening meet and greet reception, followed by a buffet and talk by noted AC race driver William S. Jackson. The incredible display of prewar and postwar AC cars is the largest collection of the marque ever presented in the U.S.
The AC Cars Retrospective is sponsored by Sunoco, LBI Ltd., Ragtops & Roadsters and Passport Transport. Tickets for the meet and greet event on Saturday night Feb 18th are $40 per person, including museum entry, buffet and special guest speaker question and answer session.
