The Argentine Temporada Motor Races – 1950 to 1960

Originally organized as a way to prove that Argentina was capable of hosting a round of the Formula One World Championship, the Temporada series achieved that goal when the first FIA Formula One World Championship Grand Prix ever to be held outside of Europe (not counting the Indy 500) took place on January 18, 1953, the opening round of that year’s championship.
