New Zealand is to have a new motorsport complex comprising three sealed circuits, purpose-built garages, industrial units and trackside apartments to service the needs of modern-day motorsport. Construction started in February 2007 and the track should be completed within two years.
The circuit, which will be called Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, is located near the current Meremere drag strip and oval, in the North Waikato, just South of Auckland.
