When the design of the Studebaker Avanti was done by the Raymond Loewy office, the studio was located in Palm Springs, California. One of—if not the—designer on the job was Tom Kellogg, a classmate of mine at the Art Center School. The reason I bring this up is that, Mr. Sherwood Egbert need not have worried about headroom in the Avanti, since Kellogg is about half a foot over six feet if not more.
