I just had a few moments to finally get to my December issue of Vintage Racecar and what do I find but another Triumph fan (First Turn, Friends of Triumph)! When I met my wife at an SCCA race at Laguna Seca in 1967, she was driving a 1966 Spitfire. Although I was a VW and Cortina fan at the time, I fell in love with the car. After marriage, college, and needing a bigger car, I promised her that someday I would get another Spitfire. When we moved out of Tahoe in 1983 and back to the Bay Area, I found and restored a 1965 Spitfire for her, but it didn’t end there.
