Cars of the Donald Healey Motor Company have developed an enthusiastic following the world over. The first Healey cars were bespoke vehicles available with standard body styles or available to be clad with the bodywork of your choice, until a 1952 joining with the British Motor Corporation led to the creation of the Austin-Healey. Throughout the life of Healey and Austin-Healey cars, Donald Healey promoted the current models through participation in motor sport at events like Le Mans, where cars carrying the Healey name ran from 1949 through to 1970.
This watercolor on art paper was painted by noted Australian automotive artist Brian Caldersmith to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Healey car in 1995 and some of those that followed.
